Overview

Contabo acts as registrar for more than 300 top-level domains and provides self-service domain management in the Customer Control Panel: registration, transfer-in, contact (handle) management and DNS.

DPA

Overview

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is a contract between Contabo and its customer that governs the processing of personal data by Contabo on behalf of the customer, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; processing covers operations such as collection, storage, retrieval and erasure.

Private Networking

Overview

Private Networking connects instances over an isolated Layer 2 LAN that is not reachable from the public internet. Traffic inside a private network is unmetered. The network interface is configured automatically when an instance joins a network.

Object Storage

Overview

Contabo Object Storage is an S3-compatible object storage service built on a Ceph cluster following Red Hat production guidance. Unlike Storage VPS, which provides a full virtual machine with a block disk, Object Storage is accessed entirely via the S3 API or a web UI — there is no server to manage.

Overview

Contabo VPS are KVM-based virtual servers with shared vCPU cores and a fixed RAM allocation, sold in three plan families — Core VPS, Performance VPS and Storage VPS — that run on the same platform and share every feature from Key Features onward. The families differ in CPU generation, storage type and capacity, port speed, snapshots and backup options. For dedicated cores see Max Performance VPS (VDS), for bare metal see Dedicated Servers.

GPU VPS

Overview

GPU VPS is a Performance VPS instance with a physically dedicated NVIDIA GPU attached via PCIe passthrough: the guest OS has direct access to the whole device, one GPU per instance.
