How do I share Object Storage with selected users?

It is possible to give access to buckets, files and folders to selected users rather than to the public. For this, access for the selected user needs to be unlocked for the Object Storage Panel and API in User Management, a tool you should have access to if you are using the Contabo Object Storage panel.

To create and add a new user to your User Management list, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the Customer Control Panel.
2. Click "Object Storage" from the blue "control panel" on the left hand side of the page.
3. Click the "Go to Object Storage Panel" and you will be taken to a new page.
4. Select 'Create User'. The following menu appears:
   
   
5. Fill out the "Email Address" field.
6. Fill out the "First Name" field.
7. Fill out the "Last Name" field.
8. Select a language from the "Language" dropdown.
9. Choose a role for the user. Under each role you should see a description of the role which will let you know how much access each role gives the user.
10. Optionally you can select whether the user is required to setup 2FA to access the shared buckets, files and folders with the "Force User To Setup 2FA" checkbox.
11. Check the "Enabled" checkbox to enable the users access.
12. Click the "Create" button.

Once you're done the user should receive an email with an invitation. 

How do I revoke a users access to Storage?

1. Log in to the Customer Control Panel.
2. Click "Object Storage" from the blue "control panel" on the left hand side of the page.
3. Click the "Go to Object Storage Panel" and you will be taken to a new page.
4. Open the "User Management" tab.
5. Click the three dots in the "More" column.
6. Select "Edit User".
7. Uncheck the "Enabled" checkbox.
8. Click the "Confirm" button and the user should no longer have access to the Object Storage.
